OPS believes in the three domains of educational objectives as part of the holistic education it provides- the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The third one, the psychomotor domain deals with physical activities and motor skills. We recognize the importance of physical education in human development. As a result, games and athletics are an integral part of our curriculum.
The school’s sports council is the body responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all sporting activities. Every student is expected to enlist in at least one team game and one additional game. Regular competitions, on the inter-house basis will be held in each sporting sphere.
SCHOOL CLUBS AND SOCIETIES
School clubs and societies are established to promote greater social interaction among students and also to encourage them to use their leisure profitably under the guidance of experienced members of staff acting as patrons.
If students wish to establish a new club not presently in operation, they are expected to inform the HM in writing expressing their aims and objectives and stating the name of the teacher whom they wish to be their patron.
Apart from the Literary and Debating Society, which is compulsory for all students, every student is expected to join and actively participate in one or two other clubs/societies of their interest.
